Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Very Painful’ Personal Issue May Cause Her To Leave TV For Good

Kelly Clarkson’s ‘very painful’ personal issue may cause her to have to leave television for good.

The star abruptly left her talk show back in March after having a “moment of clarity”. She was absent for two weeks but has never shared the reason.

Fans of the show were left concerned after they were told she was handling a “private matter”.

An insider revealed: “This has all been very painful for her,”,

“The difficulty is that Kelly, like all of us, wants to be liked, and she had to deal with this new moment in her life. She knew she had to step down for a minute.”

They added: “She has her priorities, and her family comes first, but I think she’s been humbled by the whole situation… what has happened has given her a moment of clarity, I think.

Multiple celebs were pulled in last minute to take over the show, including Andy Cohen, Wanda Sykes and Brooke Shields.

This abrupt absence came after things were getting back on track following her very public, messy divorce with ex-husband and father of her two children, Brandon Blackstock.

Her friend shared: “Kelly grew up without a father, and she had an incredible love story with Brandon,”,

“She is a compassionate and caring person, and what has happened [recently] has helped her to move beyond the divorce.”

Previously speaking about how the divorce impacted her, she shared in 2023:  “Just to be brutally honest, I did not handle [the divorce] well.”

Things were made more complicated by the fact that Blackstock was Clarkson’s manager.

An insider revealed: “The irony is that he’s had a very positive influence on her life; he made these phenomenal deals for her, and she wouldn’t be here without him. But it’s hard to be a manager and a husband,”, “At the time, she greatly appreciated what he had done for her career.”

After returning to her talk show in March, the singer tearfully shared:  “We’ve created a community and supported each other through a lot of ups and downs … A lot of ups and downs personally as well.”

The singer has had an incredible career after winning American Idol in 2002. She then went on to sell over 28 million albums, becoming one of the most successful artists of her generation.

She then started working in daytime TV in 2019 with the The Kelly Clarkson Show, which has had 6 seasons so far as well as being a coach on The Voice from 2018 to 2023.

An industry insider shared: “She is immensely talented and good at what she does, but she definitely had opinions about the music she sang, the music her contestants sang, she kept in touch with every single contestant, she took it very seriously, she had a relationship with each of them.

“She is totally invested, whether it was wardrobe or music or promo,”.

While filming for her own show, viewers noticed a huge transformation, with the star losing weight. She later admitted to using a weight loss medication, after she claimed her doctor “chased me down for two years” about her weight.

On top of her successful TV career, the star has also launched her own label, High Road Records, and is scheduled to start a Las Vegas residency, ‘Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions’ from July 4 to November 15.

So, fans are concerned that her TV career may be coming to an end. There have been reports that the star plans to quit after her contract ends in 2026.

An inside source shared that despite the million views per day, the show is expensive to run: It’s a tough job and profit margins are low,” they shared. “She knows her limits, even on ‘The Voice’, when she was working so hard, she knew when she needed a refresh – that’s what you’re seeing now,”.

“She is a very feeling, sensitive person, as you see on the talk show, and that’s both in her personal and professional life.”
