16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis’ son Weston Gosa Jr. has sadly died aged 16
The TV star shared the heartbreaking news on social media
on Monday. Taking to Facebook, she shared a photo of the two of them, with the caption: “Rest in Peace, my baby Weston. I love you forever, precious. I’ll never understand why life has to be so cruel. You’ll always be my baby.”
Whitney shared no cause of death, but Weston’s stepmom, Amy Gosa, also shared the sad news online, telling fans that they had attempted to wake the teen at 7am yesterday and couldn’t.
Gosa explained that they tried CPR and then called an ambulance – who rushed the boy to hospital.
Sadly he was pronounced dead later that day.
An autopsy is currently being performed to discover what the cause was, but Gosa shared online that the teen had multiple health issues, including diabetes.
Born on April 2, 2009, Whitney was pregnant with him on season one of the show, with her baby daddy, also named Weston.
The teen lost custody of him and her other child, River, when leaving the show. She was later arrested for allegedly not making child support payments.
